Brief:

Is one of the departments that follow the pillars of the demand and interest in the social and material aspects of the university student and spare no effort to harness all its potential to provide a suitable academic atmosphere for the student in order to enable them to provide the best performance during their university studies.
The Department of Social Welfare is followed by three sections:
1. Department of social supervision - students / students
2. Department of Student Employment
3. Department of People with Special Needs

First: Department of social supervision - students / students

The most important services provided by the Department of Supervision of the request:
1. Participate in the enlightenment meetings of the new students at the beginning of each semester to clarify the role of the Office of Social Supervision to contribute to solving the problems of various applications.
2. Assisting students and students and trying to overcome the obstacles and social problems that the university student is subjected to praise his academic studies and advise.
3. Work the petition to the students who have social and psychological conditions and wish to stop enrollment or continue the study after they stopped studying.
4. Research work for students who wish to benefit from the university student fund for social assistance, which is for the non-Kuwaiti students, and they are treated by Beit Zakah.

Second: Department of Student Employment:

The Student Employment Department aims at investing students' free time, exploiting their abilities and establishing the principle of the importance of work in various fields and preparing the university student for future work fields and taking responsibility for tomorrow.
The department provides part-time job opportunities for the University of Kuwait by internal operating system. The internal operation is the operation of the dial-up system within the university facilities. Where the department during the first semester and second reception of the applicant who wish this system as per the following conditions:
1.The student should not be warned.
2.The internal operation should be limited to the registered student at the university.
3.The student must pass a semester before joining the employment.
4.The postgraduate course is not allowed, and the language center asks for hours.
5.The social supervisor decides the right part of the student at work.

Third: Department of Special Needs:
Based on the keenness of the University of Kuwait on its students from the category of people with special needs, it has established a special department to take care of the special needs of the people with special needs, in addition to the social care department, in order to follow up their needs and study their problems and identify the difficulties facing them and propose suitable solutions.

The objectives of the special needs department:

• Awareness of the needs of disabled students.
• A coordinate with the competent authorities in order to provide the necessary needs and capabilities that will help the disabled.
• Student overcome his disability and not turn it into a disability.
• Integrating people with special needs into society as working individuals.
• Provide psychological stability for them and balance the integrity of their personality.
• To overcome the obstacles facing them, whether scientific, social or psychological.
• Facilitate the provision of the services needed by the university student.
• Encourage this group and highlight its role in society.
